AI and the Future of Us
Artificial intelligence is reshaping work, education, and creativity—but will it replace us or amplify what makes us human? This session explores how AI is transforming jobs, learning, and the arts, separating hype from reality. We’ll examine which careers are most likely to evolve, how education must adapt when AI becomes every student’s tutor, and what AI means for musicians and other creative professionals. We’ll also discuss why the humanities—including ethics, philosophy, history, and communication—may become more valuable, not less, in the age of intelligent machines. Finally, we’ll explore the skills that matter most for the future, from critical thinking and creativity to AI literacy, along with a surprising answer as to which programming language is the most important one for the AI era.
